Background facts:
Book of Tennis Rackets: According to an ad published in a German journal in 1913: The "Special" racquet, here written with a letter Z, has an oval face with a concave throat-piece which was quite progressive at that time. The throat-piece was made convex by most manufacturers, except for a few ones, until about 1920.
