Background facts:

This early Hazells Streamline frame documents the original triple-shaft design developed by Frank W. Donisthorpe. The design was protected through a British patent application filed on 31 December 1934, preceding the commercial introduction of the Streamline series. A corresponding United States patent application followed on 17 December 1935. The distinctive triple-shaft configuration subsequently became the defining characteristic of the Hazells Streamline series and remained central to all later production models.
