Background facts:

The Slazenger "Doherty" is one of the most iconic wooden tennis rackets in history, famously named after the British brothers Reginald (Reggie) and Laurence (Laurie) Doherty. Dominating the sport at the turn of the 20th century, the brothers used this specific Slazenger model to revitalize tennis, winning 9 Wimbledon singles titles and 8 doubles titles between them from 1897 to 1906. Ralph and Albert Slazenger founded the company in London in 1881 after relocating from Manchester.
